HODL, I am not happy with my response to you. I was leaving for work and only had time for a few sentences to challenge.

I wish I would've said that I "wonder" about your assertion about having kids.

I'm a father of two sons, 25 and 15, and a 12 year old daughter. We homeschool. I love my family. I wouldn't trade fatherhood for anything.

Yet these lines by Rilke keep coming up for me:

I hear Rilke saying there's something more than the kids. I don't have an answer to what it is. The feeling arises sometimes though.
