i dont know who needs to hear this but: if you have medium/small sized potatoes, if you just cover them in aluminum foil and throw it into a campfire, like standing right on the hottest coals as the fire rages

they'll come out fine (the skin burns off and becomes a protective char, as the inside turns into soft and delicious potato mash-like soft baked potato)

kinda suprised (a lot suprised even) that a kilo of small/medium potatoes i foiled and threw randomly in the fire, almost ALL came out edible/fine
