and as an xennial it occurs to me that our cohort was basically the internet latchkey kids

and younger folks today are, by this analogy, the constant victims of helicopter parents, black-helicopter parents and actual black helicopters

for what it's worth i am absolutely convinced that, whatever fucked up shit happened to us, we still had it better
