I am hoping to adopt a wildflower verge near my house that the Council trued to mow to oblivion. I am most grateful to their contracted mower who listened to my reasoning & agreed just to cut around the edges.

I wonder what resistance I might encounter from other neighbours who prefer everything ‘tidy’ & mown to the the ground, despite the ecological crisis!
