So in Ethereum, people are already accustomed to using metamask as an interface for key storage and the UX is decent enough, quite rough but ok. Installing an extension seems like a lot of friction, but not unsurmountable. The key is to make the UX flow of getting from signup to relay connection to other users' discovery much more seamless.
