I'm thinking about how it doesn't matter if a person is the current president of the United States, or if they're the former president of the United States--either way, if they have committed a crime, they must be brought to trial, proven guilty, and required to undergo all the appropriate consequences.
The fact that a former US president is now awaiting a verdict in his trial is *not* evidence that this nation has sunk to new lows.
Instead, it's proof that there's hope for us as a republic.
