Most people don't actually need them or RO systems. But I'd have to regularly talk to culligan customers who were told bs by snake oil salesmen. RO is not a cost effective way to make safe water. You can get safe water at .75 gal/min without waste. But you have to know what is in your water before an appropriate system can be suggested. Lab test is the only way.
