The going to socialism is due to meddling of us government (not us citizens, lets not confuse both, although many do and hence disrespect the peasants when they should be disrespecting the lords) in local affairs to prevent Latin America to join the second world, but also preventing it from joining the first world. I know the two biggest murdering of Mejicanos in the XX century was of Catholics (by government 1920s) by presidents with socialist tendencies and murdering of socialist (by government 1960s) by presidents that wanted to be fine with US. That and the drug war, why blame the producers, but never the consumers, isn't that capitalism after all?!?! Drug lords don't exist in the US? I bet they do. LA does not go to socialism for animosity towards the US. It has animosity towards the US due to socialism teach in government schools.
