Dockworkers won the first battle! The longshoremen strike got the bosses to fold pretty dang fast and the workers have secured 62% wage increase; the strike is suspended for 90 days while the other issues get negotiated, and if the bosses don't settle the other issues then the strike is back on. Wages are entirely off the table for that period, the bosses can't backtrack on that. Wages were one of the major issues for the workers and the bosses were insisting they couldn't go higher.
