Just further word about Covenant Health. They own and operate a number of hospitals in Alberta, including the Misericordia and Grey Nuns hospitals in Edmonton. They also own many Long Term Care Facilities in Alberta. It's like how the Catholic School Board is publicly funded just like the Public School Board, and is even accessed publicly in the urban municipalities (though in the rural municipalities they only allow entry to Catholics). /1
