I’ve had many friends who say they struggle with this and I do too, due to neurodivergence.
Hilarious and sad as this sounds, it has helped me to make a list of fun stuff I want to do, then rolling the dice and sticking with the activity for a set amount of time. I tell myself if after that I’m not having fun, I’ll pick something else off the list. I almost always end up doing what I chose. At the end of the day I feel better for having done a variety of things.
