I may bitch about my own country on Mastodon a lot because this is a space where I don’t worry about, say, offending some conservative acquaintances but I’ll never bitch about it in front of tourists.

All things considered, we’ve achieved a lot despite the complicated situations we inherited, and I’d very much prefer to showcase that achievement.
