This is an example of the UK weather map. It shows how ITV and the BBC like to show Scotland tilted away from viewer to make it look smaller than it really is.
At first glance people might assume I am being paranoid but the persistence of this message in so many forms makes me ask why they do this repeatedly and in so many different ways. I believe this is one example of the subtle messaging from mainstream media over Scotland's place and value.
