We took our EV for a little snowcation up a hill yesterday. Afterwards, the car complained that it wouldn't make it back with only 40% battery. We stopped for 15 minutes at the nearest charger and watched some videos, which brought it back to 75%. Back at home, it still had just over 50% left, so we clearly would've made it even without charging.
Stopping to charge was a mild inconvenience, but not nearly as bad as the naysayers claim.
