We desperately need a new norm regularly publicly confronting your critics. Otherwise we'll just get a parade of people pushing their grift/ideology on shows that pretend to do journalism. Or they might even do good journalism some of the time, but are also willing to let some people push whatever they want. And this will inevitably lead to a more confused public, which will mean a worse world for everybody.
