2. Most of what happened this past week in the U.S., does not surprise me in the least. I see echoes of the Christian nationalism I have been hearing about and immersed in since the late 90s. The Christians ‘suffered’ blow after blow, with the cultural aspects of ‘losing’ the 60s - 70s. Not being able to ‘pray’ in public schools was a body blow that really galvanized them. I feel like that is the moment they all return to as a scene of ‘trauma’.
