i have been beating this drum for a long time, there needs to be more network intelligence distributed among the nodes

i think at least a simple single bit "balance" for each channel... this would help users avoid channels biased against their direction of payment (in that direction is their balance, then better to choose the ones opposite because you are pushing it to the middle)

unfortunately the lightning dev community is pretty tight and insular, and factional, and for sure the founders, with LND, are retarded at writing configuration systems, not only is btcd shit, lnd is shit for configuration

this has been a big influence on shaping my own models of how to do server dev

i'd love to fork btcd and/or lnd... but my life is a limited thing
