#bats #nature. 🦇🦇🦇Apologies in advance for poor photo quality. Trying not to disturb. Went into a room off our garage where I season water for my tadpoles. I found a bat floating in a large bucket of water. I rescued he/she with a fly swatter (scooped them out). Put them outside to dry off. Not sure how long they were in the water. 12 hours or less. But they were alive. Moved the flyswatter inside a box. Just checked and they are hanging upside down from the flyswatter. I count that as a good sign and hope this evening they will fly off. 🤞🦇 Bats are mammals and they eat my major enemy (mosquitos). Apparently they get caught in pools and ponds when they come down to drink and vat get back out. Thdy can swim!
