I'm often frustrated that I don't know what I want. Sometimes I feel like I know vaguely but not exactly, and sometimes I feel like I don't know at all. And it's more and more often the latter.

I feel like there are a lot of things I feel like I wanted, but really I was just told I should want, and eventually I deconstruct it and find there was nothing there but social conventions and advertising.

In some ways my life is more comfortable than it has ever been. But everything feels empty.
