If you posted a reply to someone, and want to add a separate thing later, there’s a way to edit your post rather than replying with a new thought.
I don’t know how the interface is for sighted people, but to edit your post, click the, more, button underneath your post. I’m told this visually looks like an ellipsis. A menu will open. Click on edit post.
If you edit your post, everybody gets a notification that your post was edited if they’ve interacted with your reply. This is better because people have less notifications to scroll through and when a post is edited, it actually shows up at the top of their notifications so there’s no need for 20 add on replies when a single edit could achieve the same result. #FediTips #Mastodon
