I often wonder if the Soviet revolution could've been averted over a century later had Russian nobility surrendered to Napoleon. They were notoriously terrible even by monarch standards, if there had been a major power shakeup in the region maybe things wouldn't have gotten so dire that communism was able to gain a solid foothold.
