On the latest cosmic-files commit it appears that the desktop icons memory leak has been resolved (the one that killed my stream, causing over 70GB of RAM usage), with the secondary benefit of overall lower VRAM usage. There was a recent Iced version rebase which pulled in a bunch of general improvements
If you were experiencing this issue please update to the latest git release
