I’m unsure as to why the govt would assume the costs of closing the destructive Open Net Fish Farms, when those companies are the ones doing the damage and never should’ve been allowed to begin with. Why would the govt assume the costs of mitigating the damages and paying these jerks for unrealized profits? The companies should take responsibility for the damages (in the billions, btw) and nobody owes them ‘profits’.
