I disassembled a Synology DS415 which suffered from the C2000 bug and soldered the 100 ohm resistor in. The system has now booted and appears to work: uptime 10m.
And all that in spite of pretty bad tremors in hands and insufficient eye sight. I'm a nervous wreck.
So, does the "right to repair" come with a "right to be able to elegantly close plastic enclosures after opening", or is liberal use of duct tape permissible?
