This is my last week fiat mining.
In January 2023 Breez open sourced their SDK and I was so excited about its potential. I had heard about Greenlight for the first time at Bitcoin Honeybadger 2022 and know first hand the limitations of running a non-custodial node in a mobile application.
I spoke with Roy (npub1ey6…szvp) for the first time in February, his ideals and approach towards Bitcoin and free markets resonated with me so strongly I wanted to help.
I began implementing the framework for their React Native support, pulling together their swift and kotlin bindings and bridging it to typescript for mobile hybrid applications. Within a month the module was finished and fully integrated into satimoto (npub1yvj…0z5d).
It was an absolute treat to work with the Breez team and I continued to contribute, next figuring out how to package their bindings for Go and being more involved in reviewing PRs.
To my absolute surprise and joy, three months ago I was offered a developer position at Breez.
It's been a whirlwind of a year and I'm so excited to start next week at Breez!
