After watching La Legge Di Lidia Poët (a better show than I expected) I now realize that all those times I thought Hollywood exaggerated the Italian accent were actually fairly accurate. It’s one of the most sing-songy languages!
I’m now also listening to Italian commentary while playing FC25⚽️ (I usually listen to Spanish but wanted to switch it up a bit) and it’s just too pretty a language 😄
The way they pronounce certain words sounds somewhat similar to Portuguese to my non-fluent ears, but softer.
I like listening to other languages without knowing too many words so I can just hear the sound without getting distracted by the meaning.
I don’t really hear the sounds of English or French anymore because my brain immediately goes into comprehension mode, but I can always tell when a French person speaks with the sound off because of how they move their lips - especially European French.
