I sympathise with the campaign for Wales to be known only by its Welsh name, Cymru. And we could do the same with Scotland (Alba), England (Angleterre) etc, but the problem is the names are going to be, on average, massively mispronounced by non-native speakers. I mean, I struggle to get Alba right (sort of "Ul-a-Pu") even working in a school that specialises in Gaelic. Reminds me of trying to learn a bit of Hindi, there's a letter in between B and P that's tricky to pronounce.
