I’m going to say something other than “egregious cash-shop abuse” and go with the incessant tutorials that treat every player as if this were their first game ever.
It goes beyond mobile MMOs, though, as I think every mobile game out there has a bad habit of “telling, not showing” players the ropes. Highlighting a button to press isn’t helping players understand WHY they would want to press it, just that they need to remember to mash it like a monkey on speed.
