This problem has been bugging me for the whole day…
I’d like to make the selected row item stand out by adding a custom background color and corner radius, instead of using the default styling.
This seems like an easy task to achieve, but I have tried everything I could find online including asking ChatGPT and Claude, but nothing works.
It appears to be an impossible task to eliminate or override the default/original background color.
(I made the corners of the red background completely rounded to make it easier to see the default blue background. The real UI does not have the completely rounded corners.)
Now I decided just to implement my own list by making a ScrollView and then have a ForEach-loop inside – and now the background color works as expected. #dev #swift
