#OTD 19 September 1813 My 4th-great-grandparents welcomed a child and parted with a child. Olof was born to Eric Carlsson Nyström and Brita Christina Olsdotter of Björnlunda parish, Södermanland. Dysentery was claiming victims in the parish and their son, Carl Eric, died at the age of 33 months. Daughter Anna Catharina, age 5, died 3 days later. Baby Olof died 5 months later with the cause of death noted as stroke. I can't begin to imagine how hard that period was for my ancestors.
