Now, do I really want to take the risk of an in place distro chance from Debian to Devuan, or would I rather wipe my spare 4TB drive, save the contents of my home and media directories there, and perform a full wipe of the system to install FreeBSD? Since I won’t be using Da Vinci Resolve, there’s no user facing software I need that I can’t get on FreeBSD.
It really comes down to trust. How much trust do I have in the people behind Devuan, compared to how much trust I have for the people behind FreeBSD?
