And speaking of the moon...
This is something I had forgotten, but remembered while looking at older pictures over the weekend.
If you look at the crescent moon when it is close to the horizon, it will look differently depending on your latitude.
If you are close to the Equator, the crescent moon will look like a smile. Like the picture below.
If you go closer to the pole, the "horns" will be pointed sideways (Rotated 90 degrees from what you see at the Equator).
I grew up closer to the Equator.
When I traveled to a higher latitude for the first time (65 N), I could not recognize the shape of the moon. Rationally I knew it *had to be the moon* but it felt very weird looking at it.
