#WordWeavers 2409.11 — What sounds could help your MC feel better?

Interesting to think about this. She was brought up in a small but modern village, but after her parents died when she was 5, she was raised in a mansion, on an estate, faced with training for adult duties 24/7.

There would be ambient sounds, but rural. Agricultural during the day, wildlife during the night. Those sounds would remind her why she ran away.

She now lives in big cities (most of the time). She once leased a dance studio in a university town. Opposite two walls of mirrors, it had two walls of french windows. She slept with them open, the breezes blowing in the draperies.

She obviously found suburban sounds reassuring.
