It is for sure real. But the way school is structured sure does make it harder for neurodivergent brains.
I have ADHD. Have test showing my super low dopamine and norepinephrine. But supplements help to normalize some parts of my brain.
And focusing on what interests me helps.
Lack of executive function can be measured. Effects of our brain chemistry can be measured.
But yea, pharmaceutical companies have certainly taken advantage of the disorder too.
