As a non American it still baffles me every time I hear someone try to justify the right to bear arms while missing the whole context of the amendment; the population of the US are no longer well regulated militia.
It’s not like all other western democracies have failed because their citizens don’t have the right to own a gun.
The amendment had its place in time but it’s no longer relevant in a civilised democracy.
