#actuallyAutistic #parents, how do you avoid sensory overload when dealing with small #children?
The summer holidays are coming up here, and I'm more scared than happy.
My 5-year-old expressively stated that he hates when rooms are silent and needs to fill the air with constant talking, babbling, humming, music or audiobooks.
I, on the other hand get #sensoryOverload easily and then need quiet for a while. I'm not mad at him, we just have diverging needs.
Any tips?
