Really just shocked at how much fan/community preservation and internationalization happens, and at how fragile modern copyright law makes it.
All this work, born largely out of love, done with basically no hope of profit. Entire communities built on the back of it, and then it's wiped out by the IP holders or the machinations of commerce.
