In my farm, they didn't do the breeding, they bought fry from elsewhere. It was just four runs on the side of a hill with a spring near the top. Probably the biggest waste issue was fish shit... and soil testing 5 years after the business folded didn't show any issues. The big issue was the neighbor's cattle.
