The NHL does a decent job. They offer out of market games via ESPN+ and if you want 95% of your local games the regional networks do a good job at that. I can get almost all my local team’s games for $20/month and I turn it off from May-October. Their issue is playoffs but the regular season works well.
CFB is really complicated because it’s not one entity.
