In Italy companies and individuals offering crypto services are forced to join a public registry (named OAM) and provide to the government all customers' personal data and all their transactions.

This registry does not offer any value and in this recent press release they are denying any responsibility in case of frauds from registered entities.

It is now again clear its only role is to surveil citizens offering nothing in exchange.
