Last night a fire alarm started screaming from the building opposite of us. It probably went on for about half an hour or more - there was no response team, no signs of fire, and absolutely nobody moving a flipper to turn the infernal sound off.

I had to close our window (which was open to finally cool me and our bedroom off so I could sleep and not be in thousand ways in pain) just because it kept screetching.

Good to know if there ever is a fire around here that nobody comes for the alarms..
