There's a moment during iPhone setup where it asks you if you’d rather restore all your data from the cloud or transfer it directly from your old phone.

Both options take 15 minutes, it says. Doesn’t explain why you’d pick one over the other. So I got curious and pressed the third button, labeled “other options”.

Forty minutes later, I regret my choice.
