One breakthrough I had when designing my website was that “index.html” pages should be... indexes.
Children of that subject’s index do not need subfolders with their own “index.html” files, because that makes every HTML file an “index.html” file in your project, making it unhelpful.
It’s better when a folder is an actual folder of multiple things, rather than a folder that only contains only one html file named “index.”
