Listening to Jeff Booth (npub1s05…eyhe) podcast from Block Rewards about Why Deflation is the Key to Abundance and a question came to mind; as Jeff talks about AI creating an productive future that replaces most jobs, creating the abundance that we are able to enjoy as prices trend towards 0, where does that leave us humans?
I understand that we will get our time and energy back, but how do people contribute to a greater society without the ability to gain skills in the workplace? As people that tend not to have jobs or purposeful work typically suffer from depression, would more and more people become lethargic and depressive? Or is it more that we are able to pursue and learn the things that interest us, solving newer and different problems without the chains that keep you at your corporate desk?
I guess I'm having a difficult time envisioning what such a future holds.
