#WritersCoffeeClub 10/23 How do you capture a character's unique voice in dialogue?
I really just let my understanding of the character guide me. Is this character serious or light-hearted? Are they educated or not? Are they outgoing or reserved? Then I have to consider how a light-hearted character might sound if they were trying to be serious and so on.
If I have serious doubt (for voice or for the writing in whole) I'll read it aloud and hear how it sounds.
