"content": "Well that was a hell of a steep hike up to the top of Saddleworth Moor from Uppermill, but the views from the top, even on a hazy day, were worth it.\n\nAbout 2/3rds of the way up the main ascent we met a middle-aged couple on their way down. No hiking poles, no backpacks, they just looked like they were out for a hands-in-pockets stroll.\n\nThey explained that they live in the village and try to get up on the moors every day.
