But it fixes the fungability and privacy problems. The Monero community is also a lot more welcoming to addressing issues and technically aware instead of just investors, so if the core dev team started doing sketchy shit, people wouldn't migrate to their new hard fork.
I'm not saying Bitcoin is a bad investment, i'm saying Monero has better utility
