That’s the (very much not final color or design!) ribbon all attached on the back of the prototype of Paul’s forthcoming shirts. I had expected this to be a lot of Wondertape and pinning. But in the end it was far faster and more accurate to draw chalk guide lines, lay in the horizontal ribbon pieces as I went, and stitch them butted up to the adjacent piece.
Related: I love my industrial machine a lot, but nothing beats my old Singer 201 when working on delicate and fussy things. #sewing
