In order to get Pica to stop meowing as much I have started picking her up and either brushing her, cleaning her ears, clipping her nails or cleaning her pads when she is meowing.

This recently happened and we took the chance to clip her nails. When it was done she walked calmly into the furthest room from up then we heard a distant muted "meorow rarrwow!" song for a few bars, before it fell silent.

It's a little eerie how smart she is, and how personally she takes everything.
