Anyone familiar with the violent meltdown of the black radical successor movements to the civil right movement of the 1970’s — from the Weather Underground and Symbionese Liberation Army to Jonestown — can see the same dynamics at work in the transgender movement, scaled up by several orders of magnitude by social media.
Four decades after the American electorate decisively rejected dead end racial radicalism, the entire stock of slogans came to be taught to millions of schoolchildren after a long march through the institutions.
The transgender movement differs from black radicalism in that it began life propagated by the institutions that had already been captured. The doctrines were scarcely invented before they were being taught to the youngest schoolchildren.
